Default Interest in FIGS supercharger kit for 3uz?

I was speaking to Mike from FIGS engineering and he was discussing his interest in producing a supercharger kit for the 3uz platform. The kit would include intake manifold adapter plate, supercharger, fuel system, fittings, MAPECU3 piggy back ecu which will work with the stock ecu to help with fuel and such. He said the base price would be about $6000-$7000 thesis a base kit. There would be a turn kit available for more with plug and play harnesses and other things that would make it a plug and play installation. The results would be about 365-380 HP & 400 TQ these are just base numbers there are variables for every set up. The stock transmission will be able to hold the power.

I want to do the legwork for him because he has taken very good care of me and is always there to answer my questions and help me troubleshoot when needed. If anyone is interested please post below, so he can seeof there is enough interest to make a kit.

I'd possibly be interested at $5k, but not $6-7k, depending on reliability and fuel mileage.

I was hoping it'd be in the 4-5k range. I don't think I can fork out 7k for that.

Think about it it is a plug and play kit and your can can pass obd2 which is great for people in states with more stringent automotive laws, as well as being a full kit with everything addressed such as fuel, air, and timing etc.

To be honest, if this kit is available right now, I would drop all my plans for a VIP build and just get this. This would make a hell of a daily.

I've always wanted a supercharger on my LS but it would take me forever to save up that kind of money. How soon would they release the kit?

That sounds good! I've always wanted a supercharged LS or even considered LS1/LS3 swapping it but it's all so pricey.

It would definitely be a show stopper for sure if I had the kit.

I've heard LS3 swap is about 10k or something around there. This would definitely be cheaper and much easier to work with.

You get an lq4 or lq9 out of a GMC savanna van truck denali escalade for $400-$2500 use a t56 transmission use the t56 out of a corvette or camaro not a gto they are set up differently. Take the sikky motor mounts or cx racing install them in the is engine bay get a custom driveshaft made headers, use the stock gm ecu to tune, fuel pump, injectors, for the dash get a racepack gauge display and bam done deal that right there is $4000-$8000 if you can do the work yourself. I am going to be doing it to a 94 sc300 i live in NY and eveything must be plugged in and pass obd2.

So generally you guys would rather see a LS swap kit? What about gauges, OBDII and emissions?
Trying to offer a product that would be easily installed, roots type system if we can get hood clearance. Product delivery and viability would be dependent on interest. We will be upgrading our shop wagon and seeing what we can offer at the same time. Currently just for the blower is around 3K, so it will be a challenge to provide a kit in the 5K budget range.
Thanks Mike

I'm personally interested in the whole kit. I don't want to see any emission or CEL issues because of state mandated inspection. 5k for a plug and play kit is right up my alley.

I've long thought my GS400 and now my LS430 were only needing more power to be perfect. I love everything about these cars....just wish they had a decent bump in power.

So yes, I'm rather interested.

Please keep me posted.
