Default Treated very poorly by lexus dealership

I have had a terrible experience the two times I have had to deal with the Lexus dealer closest to me, the long and the short of if is they are a bunch of jackasses who feel that if your under 40 you deserve 0 respect.

I feel that because of my age 26 they just felt that they did not have to give me any respect at all. I was waiting 3 hours to get the transmission flushed on my ls430 was told 1 hour tops, so I go into the show room to look at the new rcf I was going to talk to one of the sales people about buying one and setting up a test drive. I walk over to it hands behind my back very respectfully looking at the interior through the open window when this big fat sales guy comes over gets in the car rolls the window up in my face, gets out and just stares me down as he walks away from me.

I take that as a "hey these people are not going to talk to you in a civil manner" so I go and sit and wait the other 1-1/2 hours for my transmission to get flushed, I am pretty pissed off at this point do to the 2 extra hours it's taking for a simple procedure, so my cars done the guy goes all right I will ring you up I say to him "It's $288 Like you told me correct?" He then replies "no sir your transmission took some extra fluid so it's $335" i reply with "are you *****ing kidding me its a sealed transmission it cant take extra fluid" the tech replies with "well son I have been a Lexus tech for 15 years" and I cut him off and go "this place is the world's worst dealership i have ever been to give me the keys to my car I am never coming back" pay my inflated bill and leave.

I have made numerous calls to the dealership as well as Lexus and no on really cares that I was treated with so much disrespect just wanted to share my experience see if any younger people have had similar experiences.

That's odd, I get that many are retired folks the times that I've been at a Lexus dealer and looked into the lounge, but I walked in dressed like I came from the gym (I did), and a gentleman in a suit came right over and asked if I needed help, and escorted me to the parts dept. If anything, Lexus seems to have good customer service, but very high prices. Also, I don't believe they should be performing a transmission flush on any car, but could be wrong...maybe he escorted me to the parts dept. because he didn't want a person dressed like I was near the customers lol

I asked them to perform the transmission flush I only had 84,000 on the car at the time so there was no real damage it's when cars have over 100,000 and have never received a transmission flush is when you run into issue, because the clutch plates wear out over time and build a layer of deposits and stuff around the transmissions internals and bellhousing. The flush knocks loose depsoits that have built up in the transmission over time and then clog drain holes, lubrication holes, get on clutch plates and cause the transmission to slip.

Back to my original post there is only 2 lexus dealerships in NY that i know of new country Lexus which is were I was treated like crap (one hour away from me) and Lexus of Manhattan which is 3-4 hours away, so my options are really limited. I do all the work to my cars or I go to my buddy's shop down the road and he will help me with what I am not equipped to do lol.

While that's a great perspective and most likely quite ACCURATE, it doesn't mean that it's RIGHT or should be permitted.

To the OP----I would contact Lexus corporate customer service using every avenue and tell them how dissatisfied you were with "the experience". You need to simply state the facts as they occurred, without interjecting feelings (if possible), and ask if that's permissible behavior and customer service. I'd also tell them you contacted the dealership without any satisfaction. Nobody at corporate needs to know the year of your LS when you're describing the situation, although I'd explain it as "my LS". It could be 20+ year old LS400 or brand new LS460. I'm betting they won't ask which year.

A side note, and pretty important side note in my opinion.............whomever proceeds to using vulgar language and curse words is AUTOMATICALLY 'wrong' and their position is automatically diminished, regardless how bad the situation is.

You can contact the corporate customer service via this forum! Use our resources! GOOD LUCK!

Oh, you're the dude that put that deck spoiler and black wheels on your car! They probably thought you had zero ability to buy that RCF and wanted you to go back to the lounge.

Nah. I don't buy that. I doubt that the salesman knew what kind of car he came in with. Ive had similar experiences many years ago when I was that age. Some people are simply arsehats. I agree with the no cussing comment though.

I would have seeked out a salesperson closest to the dope that dissed you and chatted him up about the car you were looking at while explaining that you were here getting your LS serviced. That might have put some egg on his face...

He had the service report with the year, model, mileage and VIN in his hand.
And just how did you manage to glean that kind of information from what the OP wrote???

I currently go to New Country and I've been treated pretty well, younger than you and with a 2006 GS300. Service with them was spotty (shorted me 2 quarts of oil) but they made it right. Have also showed up randomly to look at a new GS350 and someone came out immediately and asked if I wanted to take it for a test drive. My other dealer in Buffalo also treats me extremely well, even gives me loaners for things as simple as oil changes. I will agree with you though that service at New Country takes forever.

As others have said, its unlikely the car you have had anything to do with it as I have an old car and have never been treated poorly despite being seen getting out of it, nor did your age as 26 isn't really "young", you just got an ******* salesman, which was stupid on his part. If you're having a real issue, call joe, the service manager at new country and leave a civil message.

Is there something wrong with the rims and spoiler?

I would contact corporate about it. I work for a Lexus dealership and that kind of stuff should never happen. I’ve had friends treated poorly due to their age as well as I’ve had it happen to myself. It’s a huge deal when people complain to corporate or leave a negative survey.

In my position anything under a perfect 10 on a survey means I get chewed out. If it happens too often I would probably be fired. The service department gets those surveys from what I’ve seen. These surveys are sent at random by Lexus corporate.

I also recommend leaving a negative review on Google. The way they treated you is unacceptable by Lexus standards.

I’ve come in straight from the gym before and was treated alright but luxury dealers typically will treat you like crap if you aren’t in a suit or nice dress. I hear about it from friends that worked for other luxury brands in the area.

The last time I came to my dealer for service I was in gym clothes and they let me take an RC-F on a test drive. I never expected that to happen.

No issues here in the Wisconsin waste land. The Lexus dealership I use has a good staff and are pretty nice guys/girls. I experienced poor customer service at a Hyundai dealership when I owned that Veloster for 5 weeks... But really that's apples-oranges..

Terrible service here from Northside Lexus in Houston. Not a big deal, though, plenty of other Lexus dealers happy to take my money. When we were buying our GX, we ended up at a Lexus dealer in Austin... great transaction, and the service at that dealership was incredible.
Left a scathing review on Yelp for Northside and moved on. Northside is so bad, they couldn't even get an apology right...
