Default HOW TO: Replace Armrest Console Lock Assembly

The armrest wouldn’t shut on my LS430 and discovered a piece was missing. It was part no. 58908-50040.

Install was incredibly simple!

Here’s what it looked like with the piece missing. Also showing the piece in its correct orientation.

I used some screws in my garage. It didn’t come with any but here is the size

Just screw it in. All done!

Now it stays shut

Thanks! I paid $34 after shipping, but I wouldn't recommend the place I bought it from (PartSouq) as my credit card info was stolen a few hours after I ordered it and I had to get a new card! I'm not sure if it's from that order, but I would assume so since it was the only order I placed recently (plus it was overseas).

Looks like they have one on eBay for a little more, but at least it's a safer option. You can shop around with a Google search for: lexus 58908-50040

Yikes!! that sucks that your info got stolen!
I would buy from mylparts.com since we get a small discount with them.

This place is ok, of course there would be shipping, but what one should do is to add more parts, until the shipping goes up, then back the last part out. Meaning, say the shipping is $6.99, get some other things that you need and add to the basket as long as the shipping is $6.99, when the shipping goes up, take that last item out. Same for rock auto, make the most out of minimum shipping charges...
