Default Barely Got To Know Her

Basically Some Idiot ran a stop sign and hot old girl in the right fender which knocked the car into a pole. The wife was driving by herself and thank goodness that she escaped with her life. If there were cars or trucks coming in the other direction which there usually are I hate to imagine what could have happened. The idiot had the nerve to ask my wife what happened and she overheard him telling the cops that he was inching out of the stop sign. Now I was not there but the accident scene tells the story better than I can. Also, he did not have a valid license ( Cops words ) so I don't understand why he was not arrested. I know in NYC your going straight to jail these days. They issued him several summonses to appear in court for reckless driving, no valid license and something else. I had to leave work in NYC and take the longesttttttttt hour commute to the hospital to make sure my wife was OK then to the tow yard after I took her home. The pics speak for themselves.

Beautiful car destroyed but looks like crumple zones and air bags worked well.... very glad to hear your wife is going to be OK.

Crumple zones and airbags did their job well.

She has been in the bed since yesterday and is scared to even drive now. She eventually has to drive when she goes back to work but I don't know how that's going to work out.

Da** sorry to see this, and glad your wife's ok. I think I mentioned it, my neighbor got rear-ended and the person claimed his EZPass fell off his windshield and he tried to get it. OK, well, the nearest toll booths are either the bridges, at least 8 miles away, or the turnpike, at least 12 miles away. So if an EZPass falls off, you rear end someone?

I don't know why I'm so lazy about this, I've been wanting to put a permanent front/rear dash cam in the LS, the BlackVue.

Shoot tell your wife or rather convince her, nothing to be scared about, it was just one idiot that she happened to cross paths with...

I've been contemplating installing a GoPro for a while and the only thing that has stopped me is that they cost too much.

Wow, those pics are scary. So glad your wife is OK.
BTW, I use my cell phone as my Dashcam. Use DailyRoads Voyager with a suction cup mount on my dash. Records in 2 minute loops and will save the video based on the phone sensing an adjustable Gforce impact. If you're ever in an accident where you can't stop the recording or you forget to it does it for you so it doesn't overwrite the video. Overlays speed and some other information on the video so there's not a question of how fast you were going. Works really well for the price of $0.

I have already begun the search but sadly there are not a lot of ULs in the area and I have expanded to search are to 200 miles. I test drove a 460 L today and the ride was just as good as the 430. Granted I did not take it over 60 but I was still impressed. I see some ppl complain about the interior but the drivers seat was more comfortable than the 430 and the leather seemed to be better. I only put 3k miles on the 430 in 3 1/2 months so I have not had a chance to become to jaded. The 430 and 460 are major upgrades to my faithful 400 IMO but I have a special place in my heart for the 400 which has never let me down in 14 years.

That plain sucks. I know the feeling well. Been the victim twice of red light runners.

I see that your parking permit and toll pass device are in the picture. I hope you remembered to take those and your other stuff out before it disappears...

Sorry to hear of the loss of the LS, but more importantly, no serious injury to your wife. This is exactly why I have a dash cam in my car. Don't hesitate to speak with a lawyer to have yourself made whole again. After all, the other driver's insurance company has lawyers...

After I made sure the wife was ok, I went to the yard and cleaned all my stuff out of the car. This is why I keep my trunk locked from the inside. Got the easy pass and parking permits out but forgot to get my wife audio book.

I'm contemplating getting a lawyer. My wife is real shaken up and complaining about chest pain this morning.

Thanks, I would prefer a 430 but it seems that 460s have come down in price compared to a couple moths ago. Lots of black 430s which I really don't want and only 2 ULs within my 200 mile search area.

Sorry your wife has to deal with a crash. That's not easy. Also, it's hard to become "too jaded" when you own a 430 If gas stations disappear in the future, I'll sit in mine, watch driving videos and listen to the ML stereo.
