Default Floor mats.....

Not that I am promoting these, but stumbled on an Amazon item for charcoal colored floor mats..... Not sure if this is a clearance or not but I went ahead and purchased a set and they are the "real deal".... Any one with the gray interior may want to pick up a genuine set of Lexus mats. Mine are worn out and this was a great price...

Here are photos of the actual mats I got yesterday.... (and the Amazon link if anyone else is interested...)

I ordered those for $14.95 from a web dealer, and decided to get 3 sets (gray color), but for some reason they were free, and I only got 1 set. They're fine. I never noticed the bottom of the doors are a certain color, ivory? But I don't mind the gray (aka charcoal) contrast....

p.s. when I say free, the dealer tried to claim the price was wrong (every online catalog shows around $14.95), so they said I could have one set for free, not 3x$14.95...whatever)

If a web dealer was selling the actual Toyota/Lexus mats for $14.95 than that was a real steal... The other colors the lowest I saw for real Lexus mats was over $80 or more depending on the color... Why the gray versions are half I do not know...

Some of the reviews are less than stellar, especially for a Toyota/Lexus product.

Anyone can produce labels and stick them on a bag...

I read that too and posted a question and I can tell you these are the real deal.... See the photo and the one I posted in the "What did you do to your LS430" thread and laying side by side and seeing the stencils on the backings will convince you..... If you don't have gray don't bother....

Oh, and they included the binding hooks (which now I have an extra set) to make sure they do not shift under the pedals. I have heard that a lot of those go missing after a car wash staffer rips them out of cars and the hooks go flying into the nether land....

LOL counterfeit mats? C'mon guys, from authorized new car dealers, that's pretty bad.....I'm pretty cynical myself and diy oil on all our cars because I don't trust dealers, but floor mats...

this is interesting, this is one website that had $15 mats, they're now almost $70. Probably the database to which they all connect to was f'd up. Which is why the place I ordered $15 mats from told me it's wrong and they'd let me have one set for free, but not 3 @ $15 ea. Free is ok I guess, did I really need to be out $45 for 3 sets, that would last over 50 years....

edit here's another website, all seem to no longer be $15....ecommerce mistake I guess. Just like when I wanted to get $4 pliers on amazon channellocks, they simply cancelled my order stating they don't have to fulfill it at the wrong price.

I think I read that before from a previous post you made. I have some real cheap after market ones in there now but I need the tan or brown versions so am keeping an eye out. Buying the gray ones for the LS was an easy decision given the attractive price.... (I would not buy gray for the SC...).

I take it you haven't been in any dark alleys in a big city lately..? Around every corner is a unscrupulous guy flashing open his trench coat revealing bootleg floor mats. Oh and he's got em all from Owdi to Vulvo

All kidding aside, yes, GM had a serious issue with counterfeit AC DElco filters that looked real, just burst when they shouldn't. Yes, boxes looked real, labels.

But these are floor mats, who the **** wants to print off fake Toyota labels, and peddle the junk on the web, from dealer websites. Surely dealer reputations are worth more than $15 or $40 or $100. Believe me, the mats in this thread are authentic.

Thanks for the suggestion.... As a Father's Day gift, my son sent me a set and while a bit larger than the OEM SC mats (which you can't get - at least I never found any) which you pointed out, here is the result...

There was a post earlier on this custom made floor mats for LS430 from Aliexpress, the quality reported was pretty good for the price.

Just got blueberry like stains on my rear left mat (same as the OP's charcoal OEM)....we walked under some kind of tree and I got in the back, wife drove.

a) glad the stains are not in the front

b) glad the mats were free. I would hate to pay say $80 for mats and have them stained--they are made to get dirty, but you know what I mean....

again interesting how they're not $15 anymore, wonder how many got sold until the database got fixed, sounds like years

The charcoal OEM mats on Amazon are still a bargain.... I would not wait too long.... The ones my son bought me for the SC (same mats different color) were over double the price...
