Can the vehicle be started? I'm not a fan of electric steering column locks, it was a very expensive disaster on 2006 BMW 3 Series, luckily they dumped it. Such a tiny motor causes grief....let us know how it goes...

It just shows the steering wheel doesn't lock. The warning just pops up

Gotcha, I would prefer no lock, no error.....every time I twist my key, I hear an electric motor doing something, releasing I assume......again maybe it's not the same, but it was a big problem on 2006 BMW 3 Series....the lock really isn't necessary as car theft is much different today than in 1940....the worst design is when you cause the end user problems....my .02...
