Never owned a ls430.
Like the title states I come from a 213k mile gs400. My ls430 passed down from my pops hit 103k in my hands and I been reading that there is some major service that needs to be done at 100. Can I have some insight shared please.

Not at 100K miles. Major service is due at 90K, which includes timing belt, etc. If the 90K service was done you are in good shape, just change the oil and check everything else.

Where are you at in Iowa?
Anyway, as far as 'great things to upgrade'..... I went around and swapped out all the interior bulbs including puddle lights and under mirror lights for a few bucks. Simple to do and makes it look more updated.
Also a new head unit is a nice addition. Hands free bluetooth, nav etc.
Enjoy the car!

Hey how's your cupholder, mine was broken on the driver side as often happens....got a replacement on eBay for $13x, but have seen for $108. I think my buddy was right, it's pricey, but nice to have the real thing intact. Was gonna do the dollar store trick (cut the plastic and screw it in) and he said please, don't do that!

If you like playing music from your phone or a USB stick then look at adding a GROM Audio or USA Spec unit.
Depending on when the cabin air filter was done you could replace that for around $10. Spark plugs will come around 120k. Other than that, assuming you don't have issues with the center console lid, stereo amp, door locks, or steering wheel motor you should be good to go for a while. I would do a good wash, polish, and wax.
Congrats on the LS. I haven't driven a GS but I'm sold on the LS and I bet you'll be loving it shortly.

the LEXUS 100,000 mile service includes replacing the coolant/antifreeze. if you replaced your water pump with the timing belt then you can skip this for a while, but if you did not it is due.

Wow, 13 bucks! That's a steal, John. Nice job! Those retail for close to 300.00
Does it match the interior?
