Default Door handle cover damaged

hello,
i am looking for some assistance for my Florida Friends.
someone stole the rear passengers side door handle cover, the cosmetic piece.
lexus was called and the replacement cost for this piece was $200 plus 3 hours labour.

Based upon this looking for some alternative suggestions

other then a parts car or a junk yard there isnt any aftermarket on them.
sounds like lexus is trying to sell him a new door handle.the plastic cover snaps in with the little clips that are attached to the painted plastic piece.
you can order a new painted cover from lexus and it isnt near $200

imho they were not stolen, they fall off.....I still have not bought 2 caps for mine, they are $27 and $24 discount (over $39 list for LF c'mon)....it was difficult matching them pn's up with the paint code.

can get them a little cheaper than below (but I haven't placed an order--there is always the chance that they are no longer made)

No way the door caps are going to fall off.

thanks for the link- yet it's not the end cap rather the long handle piece that was taken/broken. There is a red coloured wire that is now exposed. I hope this helps explaining what I'm taking about

Perhaps someone was trying (unsuccessfully, albeit) to break into the car and the yanked the handle off?? You'll no doubt need an entirely new door handle assembly.

This should work;
