Default Sunshade hooks (or trim) broken - where to buy?

I've been looking in many places for the trim that has the sunshade hooks, but almost every shop tells me it's been discontinued. Anyone happen to know where I can get it? It's been bothering me for a while now.

It sounds like you need the garnish/upper trim "with sunshade...."

This seems to list out the p/n's and colors....

Yeah I'm aware of the P/N, but no one has them or can't even special order...

what happens if you put it in your cart and checkout? They'll call back and say the part is not available through special order??

I'd like to have them, but every A8 or S550 that I've passed with them up, I can see right through anyway...

How about getting one off a salvage yard car vs new?

They're $66.13 online per door, that's not really expensive considering the tiny squares that fall off the door handles cost $27 and $24 each. I'm not sure if OP is saying they appear online but are not actually available. But from the eBay pic, true, the hooks are part of the plastic trim around the door frames...

Yeah I don't mind grabbing the entire door garnish new. Trying to find one off a junk yard and they'll demand you take half the door with it. I couldn't order it online, but maybe hitting up a local lexus parts center can get me a special order...I'm just not sure which color lol

I wonder if side window sunshade hooks from a Toyota Sienna or Highlander could be adapted to use on an LS430. They would have to snap into place over and behind the LS430 garnish and might require slightly filing/notching the garnish for them to fit. The sunshade hooks on the Highlander and Sienna are easy to replace and inexpensive at around $3: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/...988-08020.html

The sunshade hooks on the Sienna and Highlander face inward though instead of outward like the hooks on the LS430. It's just an idea ... I've done a lot wacko parts adaptions over the years.

I called the Lexus dealership nearby, they're going to special order the garnish for me. I also found out some parts are discontinued, as in not available as a special order at all. Many interior trim pieces, particularly ones that have felt lining on it, fall into that category. In fact, I was going to replace the b pillar upper center trim, but it's no longer manufactured. Hopefully a trim reupholster can fix it; the previous owner must have had really dry skin to chafe the trim like a scratching post.

Just in case anyone's looking for it as well, the color you're looking for is clovebrown for the ecru interior.

Default Pictures.......

Here are the pictures that I promised.........My apologies for the late reply.
My car had under 30,000 miles when I removed these parts and they still look new. I purchased the new trim in black.
If you want to save 50% over buying them new then let me know.
