2009 GX driver and rear AC blows warm air
Just recently my driver side AC started blowing warm air along with the rear cabin, while the passenger blows cooler air, took it to a mech. Topped off refrigerant and put dye in to find leak, it lasted only a few months with the rear ac still not blowing as cold as normal. Took my car back said I needed to replace the rear evaporator, valves and compressor, quoted a whopping $3k to fix. Has this happened to anyone, I want to get a 2nd opinion because that's a hefty price based on what I see other est. at.

I did a quick search and found that thread. But, RKW stated, you'd be better off in the GX forum.

In the LS430 UL with a rear A/C, the rear doesn't receive freon from the single A/C compressor. There is a valve to divert some of the freon to the rear condensor and blower system. Sounds like you have some kind of valve problem. Suggest you see a differentl A/C servicer person. Or take it to the Lexus dealer and let them tell you what the problem is.

OU fan. me too. When I was a kid back in the olden days, I used to sell Cokes at OU Stadium every game. Back in the days of Leon Heath, Billy Vessels, and the rest. Never lost a game until Notre Dame came to town. This was the end of the world for Norman.
I tried to tell those guys in the shop that there was no compressor back there, but they are experts and know all about it.

Weird/interesting because I was about to post this PDF which I found a few days ago. Hopefully it helps.
Not sure if I'm posting it correctly, as I'm on my phone.
