Smile Grom Solution

Over the weekend, I installed the TOYNU3 from Grom. It was very easy to install and sounds just fine. I can control my iPhone from my steering wheel just as promised in the product description. he device is completely hidden behind the stereo. Unfortunately the Bluetooth option didn't arrive in the time promised, so now I have to remove the stereo again to connect it to the Grom unit. No big deal, the stereo is easily removed. But it would have been nice to get all the wiring done at one time.

Nonetheless, the Grom solution worked just great for me. And thanks to all of you for your input.

Having an '01 the Grom product was not a fit but for less than $20 an FM transmitter/stand/charger found on Amazon has been very adequate using the iPhone as an audio source playing Pandora and Amazon music..... Even the audio from Waze cuts in when using it for driving....

With a fairly long commute it took a few times to find an un-used FM frequency to use but that was minor and now the setup works fine......

Here is what I did on mine.

I've since replaced my OEM head unit with a Pioneer unit and I'm very happy. I had to cut out the support behind the HU to make it fit but it works great.
If yo see me driving and my car splits in half...blame it on cutting the dash support behind the HU.
