Connecting to stereo with external audio source
Many disregard FM Transmitters. But in my experience if you find a good quality well reviewed one for at least $15, they can sound QUITE nice if no other option exists.
Otherwise you'll need to spend the "big bucks" and purchase the VIAS Tech. bluetooth adapter "SoundLinQ3-L". Or if you still want an AUX Jack their "SL3u-L" would work.

Nonetheless, the Grom solution worked just great for me. And thanks to all of you for your input.
Having an '01 the Grom product was not a fit but for less than $20 an FM transmitter/stand/charger found on Amazon has been very adequate using the iPhone as an audio source playing Pandora and Amazon music..... Even the audio from Waze cuts in when using it for driving....
With a fairly long commute it took a few times to find an un-used FM frequency to use but that was minor and now the setup works fine......

Here is what I did on mine.

I've since replaced my OEM head unit with a Pioneer unit and I'm very happy. I had to cut out the support behind the HU to make it fit but it works great.
If yo see me driving and my car splits in half...blame it on cutting the dash support behind the HU.
