Question about this excellent looking '02 for sale.
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/5831981049.html
Is there enough info in the ad to determine if it is a UL or not?
Thanks.

It doesn't mention anything about an air suspension but it is definitely a custom luxury with the headlight washers and refer in the rear seat. Perhaps a UL owner can confirm what I can't. It is certainly a clean looking vehicle from what you can see with low miles for a 15 year old car.

It certainly looks nice. Based on the warehouse (and by appointments) it's an auto broker. My limited experience w/ brokers (meaning I talked to one) is that it's pretty much "no trial period, you buy it, you own it". Maybe they'll give you the VIN so you can check on line. People don't do trade-ins to brokers. Source is auctions or a dealer. One of the Lex dealers here sells off cars like 430 because they don't want older stock (or don't like the condition of the car)
OK, the seller is supplying a Car Fax. The CF I bought to sell my '01 had zero records of any work done by Lexus dealers. The Lexus site on line shows many dealer repairs. Has anyone seen a CF that shows Lex dealer work? I bought my 04 and local dealer would't give me records from past owner. Tight w/ the owner info.
If you buy it from a luxury car dealer (like Mercedes) better chances you'll get something nice because they want a good reputation. They may know something about the past owner. With mine, the Infiniti general manager knew the guy (who bought a high end Infiniti) and liked the car because it was obviously well maintained.

I agree, this is a CL and not a UL. The trunk is deeper and has no rear a/c filter. Also, as others have said the console switches are also too few for a UL. Nice car, I am a fan of the dark wood.

Thanks. Was wondering if non disclosure was standard Lexus dealer these days. Maybe just out here. On my CF, nothing from 3 different California Lexus dealers that worked on my 01 over the years. However Toyota does show up occasionally.

dunno but work shows up on lexus driver immediately, including work one declines....today out of convenience I made an appt at the Toyota dealership for a state inspection. I asked if they work on Lexus because it's a Toyota product, the person said we work on all makes and models (is this new?), but Lexus is probably #2 to Toyota, techs are similarly trained....Toyota charges less than AAA, s**** living in a Commonwealth. Everyone has their hand grabbing a fee. Took me 3 weeks to get a license plate, and multiple folks took a cut and charged $300. If I DIY'd it would have cost over $200...for a plate? lol makes about as much sense as AZ's affordable care doubling for 2017. How can anyone justify that in good conscience...

Also a good way to tell because many sellers don't take pic of rear arm rest and shifter sometimes covers the air suspension button is to look on the rear doors by the door lock/door handle. If its an UL, there would be buttons there for the memory seats. This one doesn't have them so its a CL (since there are headlight washers like others have said).
