Default Windshield washer pump has no power

I have recently acquired a 2005 LS430 which is gorgeous. The only issue I have right now is that the windshield washer pump has no power. When I try to squirt the washer fluid to the windshield, the wiper moves but no spray.

I have checked the fuse 80 (windshield washer) in the engine bay is good, and verified with multimeter. But when I use the multimeter measure the two pins in the connector when trying to turn on the spray, there is no 12V at all, What else should I check to ensure power is on for the pump?

Thanks!

How are you activating the switch to spray? Are you pressing the button or pulling the stalk towards you?

Pulling the stalk towards me. The wiper moves but there is no spray, pump has no sound, and no power goes into the pump either.

There is a button at the end of the stalk. You would need to press that since pulling the stalk towards you is for the mist effect to just move the wipers for like the morning dew. You press the button to wash/spray your windshield.

Thank you! You've hit the nail on the head here. It is now working as expected.

Out of all the Toyota/Lexus vehicles I've owned, this is the first one which has the spray button at the end of the stalk.
