Default sport strut prices

I would jump on it soon if you are interested.

The best price I can find on mylparts is $410 even after 10% off with cl discount. Am I doing something wrong? I tried calling but no answer.

I see the rear coils for my LS430 48231- 50210 120 bucks from 160 retail are a no brainer but the rear shock absorbers 48530-80141 200 from 260 retail, all this right off the Lexus quote, are a bit steep and I do see a couple options. So my questions is is there a SPORT shock option from monroe or other that is OEM equal fpr the rear less$? I am doing the fronts later as the camber is pretty close to being out on the pass front but not right away. I think I will get parts and install this weekend and lets see how much it lifts the rear end measurement of 27 3/4. I do feel as my car has sageed negatively effecting the tire wear the handling might have improved but the tires going over/getting caught in lengthwise cracks in the road is causing some squirreliness, I should have my tech look at front end bushings also. Wifes going back to school gottas play some catchup with this years 401k so trade in value of 4K$ for my 04 165k miles leads me to fix it. Even a 30 k loan is gonna rack up interest enough each year to repair my LS as the newer 30 k vehicle depreciates while how much lower will my LS sink$.

Also how do you folks paste grayed responses to new posts for reference?

Oh ya as usual friends thanks, Warm. Ya Jayclapp the Ultra sport sounds like a nice options system. As many as there are out there there really are not that many failures noted here on the site I feel.

KYB one shock for both 2 models, non air, per TR Hieth doughted Monroe OEM supplier, Kpni he felt was more upper end cars. Mentioned a 4-5 letter brand missed it partially was in my Yugo. OK 200 bucks a shocjk can't but due it loyalty to her riding right.

Had rear springs struts installed got my camber in the middle as hoped. Neighbor kid did it Accurate aligned it. Gonna leave front and run Hankooks next set, as I have lost faith in tire wear predictability for now. She is an aging dinasaur with these many miles so content to just run tires more often than toss money into the front which is still in specs barely. A client at localPomps Tires mentioned Hankooks pretty good budget tires for this dinosauer hope my Pirellis stay quiet for a while.

Default Air Struts to factory struts

After reading many posts in the forum and having the drivers side front strut fail on me I decided to swap to standard struts with springs. I found a used set of complete strut assemblies for $210 shipped. Struts were in good condition but since labor is high I went with the factory sport struts from myLparts.com $410 Labor from local shop $680= $1300 total. Went ahead and replaced my subwoofer while the back seat was out so that was a bonus. Rides great for less than one factory strut. Now plan on selling the other three on ebay. We will see what I can get for them. Maybe get half my money back.

Sounds like a smart move. Someone will buy the air. The factory sports suspension is great for this car. Not that much difference (luxury firm) and handles a lot better. Suggest add a Sport rear sway bar.

Also, is there a "sport" version of the front sway bar? Part numbers for part and bushings for that one as well?
Have you done the Super Sports? What do you think of them? Drove an 05 Base (Sport) w. them. Steering was incredibly quick. Ride was a little harsh.

It has made a big difference.
Lexus did not offer a Sport Front, Ultra Racing does offer one.
I bought Polyurethane front bushing to use with OEM bar. It helped tied up the front a bit.
Source on the polyurethane? Sounds like a nice upgrade

I intend going this route if one of my air struts fail. Do you know if there is a difference in the parts required for the two iterations 01/03 and 04/06?

Which year is your car please?

Default Mega suspension order day

Figured it was about time to do something about my wallowy suspension, so I ordered a bunch of stuff today. Figured I’d put it all in one place in case anybody is interested. Ipad is making it a bit tough to look pretty, but you get the idea.

From dealer:

Lower ball joints (OEM)

43340-59125 (left) - $113.82
43330-59125 (right) - $113.82

From mylparts.com - discount code CL5 (-10%):

Note - sport components are for 2003, apparently not available in 2004 MY.

Rear sport sway bar

48812-50130 - $159.09

Rear sport sway bar bushings

48818-50020 - $39.04 (for 2)

Front sport struts

48510-80307 - $356.64 (for 2)

Rear sport struts

48530-80241 - $184.34 (for 2)

From BumperSuperstore.com:

Tanabe NF210 Springs Lexus LS430 2001-2006 1"

TNF088 - $306.70 (includes tax)

From TME Distributing:

Daizen Front control arm poly bushing kit

L3-2002 - $99.95

Daizen Front steering rack poly bushing kit

L3-2030 -$39.95 (dealer wanted $200+ for OEM, so I figured I’d try poly)

Daizen synthetic grease - $9.95

I’m feeling vicariously excited for you! One thing I might add, if I may: Daizen steering rack bushings. Made a huge difference with my car.

Im really curious how the Daizen poly LCA bushings ride — give us an update!

And im even more curious about the Tanabe springs.. I told myself when my shocks start going I’ll order those, too.

Great purchases.. you definitely did your research. The work and money spent will be well worth it!

Steering rack bushings are on the way. After all this I may have to do wheels and tires also...
