On the way back I noticed a noise. Tried turning off the airco but that didn't help. My wife suggested that it might be the seat cooling but as a true male I ignored her. 10 minutes later I have to come to the conclusion that it could be the seat cooling. Switched them both off and silence returned.
I guess I have never have a car this quiet which at the same time has so many toys. Don't get me wrong we could only just hear the seats when they are at max cooling but the silence in this thing is really deafening!
Yes, the seat coolers do make kind of swooshing sound. I have wondered if there is anything that can be done to quiet them down. The car is very quiet. Want to make it even more quiet? Treat all the rubber seals with Shin Etsu grease. Wonderful stuff to help preserve rubber molding and seals.
I have had the LS for a couple of weeks now. I just love driving it, I can now safely say it is the best car I have ever driven in and it is now my daily driver! That makes me a very lucky and happy guy.
I am now curious what modes you generally use?
The last couple of days I have switched the ECT to Power. The throttle picks up much quicker which is great for shocking boy racers at the traffic lights.
Do many of you keep the ECT on power? Change to Sport mode on the gearbox and/or use the Sport suspension mode?
Is there any link between the ECT and the Sport setting on the gearbox?
Welcome. Fantastic car and I love those wheels. Had the same ones on my 05. If you're a DIY'er, then installing the Vais unit won't be difficult. You will have to remove the radio, but it's really not too tough.
Thanks. I have installed the MML. With the help of some internet video's and a cheap set of plastic trim removers it was really pretty simple. This car is put together so beautifully that it is also easy to take apart! The most difficult part was routing the connecting cable into the arm rest without snagging the cup holder.
