I have a 2006 Lexus LS 430. The plastic button inside my car to open the trunk broke off. There was no way to just purchase the plastic button by itself, so I had to purchase the whole switch assembly modular. Part number 8484050020CO - Switch Assembly, Luggage Door Opening / Trunk Lid Release Switch.

I purchased the part online from a Lexus dealer and am going to install it myself. I was wondering if someone could please instruct me on how to install the switch assembly modular??

The inside trunk release switch which is broken in the first post doesn't work in my 2005 LS430. I would be interested in how to remove the assembly to then remove the switch.

In order to remove that switch assembly you need to remove the lower portion of the dash. That panel its mounted in needs to be removed as the switch assembly is secured from the back.
