Default Transmission shift adjustment

This thread was made in the GS430 section but the transmission is the same in our LS430's. At least, from what I understand. Correct me if I am wrong. I don't think I am brave enough to try this but maybe some will be interested. Apparently, Lexus set the position depending on the market. US, Euro, and Japan.

Guessing this only applies to the 01-03 with 5 speed as the 04-06 6 speed transmissions are sealed?

Honestly, I don't know exactly. The procedure involves dropping the pan. The 04-06 transmissions are not "sealed" they just lack a dipstick. It would be the same procedure for both.
