I did an oil change. Also found out that both valve cover gaskets are leaking which is pretty disappointing at 81K. Maybe the cold weather has something to do with it?? Anyways I'll get around to replacing them in the Spring.

I got my front rotors turned at O’Reilly auto parts. $15 per rotor. I’ll be putting them back on to replace the warped-from-the-factory cheap Chinese rotors I put on last year.

Raybestos advanced tech rotors and OEM Lexus pads. Easiest brake job I've ever done!

Cleaned the interior, way overdue, last time I cleaned it in August. Also ordered stick on blind spot mirrors.

I had my roof wrapped to cover up some blemishes on the clear coat.

Sweet, nice job! I'm overdue. I've always used Zaino leather in a bottle on all my cars. Last time I did the LS430, a gas station attendant smelled it and asked me if I just detailed this car (she said she does that on the side).

Did the wash, clay bar and wax on the old Gold 430... getting ready to ship it to California as my Uncle decided he wanted it...
2001 with 202k miles on it and still cleans up pretty nice.

You have a track record of giving used cars to family members, that is very commendable!

Was able to adjust my telescoping portion of my steering wheel. I get a slight squeak when I try to use it and that's it. I have a new bushing to use and was exploring getting a used motor from YAJ. I chanced just pulling on the wheel while hitting the telescoping button and I was able to get the wheel to extend to a more comfortable position for me. I'm hopeful that replacing the bushings will make the movement more fluid without me having to push or pull on the wheel.

Thanks. You reminded me when a few weeks ago a salesperson at the Kroger gas station started pitching some spray wax. She started cleaned the hood without asking lol.

Put on the blind spot mirrors, not sure if I'll keep them.

Over the weekend, I installed new front brake rotors and pads. Also drained and filled 2.5 qts of atf fluid. This car is pretty easy to work on.

yep I was surprised my car came with cheap rotors on the back totally rusted hats...and 2 yrs. later they simply came right off. My fronts flop around held by the pads, but the selling dealer replaced them with Lexus OE and I asked them to use anti seize which I saw peeking out of the holes...I just hate the price of the caliper bolts lol

I think of the car as basically a 2000 car technology-wise, so we don't have a lot of the added complexity with new cars. Think about the year 2000--I was a different person, that's how long ago it was. No, not witness protection, just totally different.

Rubbed napa sil-glyde on the window weather stripping. Single digits the drivers side didn't want to move plus I was getting the squeal when rolling it down. Hope it helps!
