Thumbs up First time Clay bar... I am a Believer!

Never have I seen the results when detailing my car like I did with the Clay bar last night...

First time I washed the 430 I noticed these tiny black dots all over the trunk. Upon further inspection it turned out to be tiny specks of tar. You can imagine my disappointment and frustration that I had not seen this before I bought it. So I sit on it for a year or so. Wash it, clean it... but heart is not in it.

Then going through walmart I see the Mother's California clay bar package... what the heck, give it a try. The results are nothing short of amazing. I only thought I had cleaned and waxed and polished my car before... this took it to a whole new level. Not only did it remove the tiny tar specs all over the trunk, it gave it a new smooth as glass feel. It was so smooth you couldn't tell if you were running your fingers on the glass or on the paint. IT was so smooth. I couldn't stop touching it. Now I can't wait to do the entire car and then the others...

And this car has not been mistreated.. only about 50k miles on the 2004 and always in the garage when not on the road

If you've never done it... you need to take the time and do this to your car.
My results are nothing short of amazing and I'm sure yours will be also.

HiYa:
I concur, claybar makes a hellofa difference! Mother's makes the best kit, especially ifin ya find it at Pep Boy's on Sale plus retired military 10% discount!
Bit of a job & follow the directions closely.
Results are amazing.
Follow-up with Meguire's Gold wax & you'll be styling!

haha your just like me a few months ago , my first time using claybar , I was astonished at how well it worked, I even used the mothers clay bar package as well , it worked so great I had to take photos and make a thread recomending everyone to use it.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...you-do-it.html

I was amazed at how much dirt, grime and gunk it removed from my ALREADY washed finish.

after a clay bar the car should to be re-waxed again as the bar removes pretty much everything on the surface, good and bad. i usually do a clay once or twice a year, followed by a nice polish, wax, and seal as time permits.

Timmy... multiply all that by the number of vehicles one has... and that could be a full time job.

1Willy1,
I remember seeing your post now... and I'm sure that influenced me.. though my clay was not nearly as dirty as yours... lol.... but I did use the same package.
And I didn't take pics as it did not do it justice.... yes, it looks better, but the feel is where the impressive part is.
Once you do it... you will always do it...
And I do have the ceramic tint... just need the exhaust tips now...
