never seen one in person, agreed, that is butt-ugly

there is one of these on my local CL, been up for quite a while
it's an '01 UL with 156K and they're asking 7K for it

"Palm Beach Edition". Must be fishing for a certain buyer!

I can understand that certain people like certain things, but I'm with SuperCoupe400 on this.
The landau looks like an "upmarket" vinyl roof and they were ugly even when they were in fashion.
I'm not keen on the slammed/stanced look either but that is my personal taste, I'm not criticising yours.
The best LS430 I've seen was a pearl mid-blue at a custom show over here. It was only mildly lowered and running on 19s.
Looked subtle but sweet, not in your face like so many.

no, that's what this edition is called, officially.

Lexus never "Officially" made a Palm Beach Edition. This was done in my local Florida dealers in house or subbbed out to a local trim shop and then they put them out on the showroom floor as special editions. They had the cloth top, special badges and sometimes piping on the seats and extra wood trim added. There was no "official" palm beach edition. I remember when both of my local Palm Beach dealers had them. They also did another edition called the "JM Lexus" edition which was and might still be the largest Lexus dealer in the world but I believe it was also the first official US dealer.

Am I the only one that thinks the landau tops look good? I wouldn't get one for my vehicle because I like my cars looking OEM, but at the same time, I like the look.

I saw one of these the other night and it blew my mind how anyone could do that to their LS. Honestly looked terrible in every way

First time ever seeing this. Being on the West Coast, never seen one of these “in the wild”.

Never liked this look on any car let alone an LS430. But, to each their own and it seems the dealership that came up with this mod knows their customer base. Not sure how many were modified and sold but please keep these down in Florida …… 😏

I remember this thread from a long time ago. I still haven’t seen an LS430 like this in person but I’ve seen an LS400 with a roof like that. It worked really well with the 90’s and 00’s Lincoln’s, especially the Towncars. It’s always looked funny on a Lexus.
