Default Help...Spring/Coil , what brand is best?

Please help... Looking for past experience.
As some of you may have read, I'm making the switch from my factory air to a traditional suspension. I've had great feedback on struts/shocks (Lavrishevo & BNR34). Curious what other people have done for springs/coils?

Some want the sport feel others lowering on height.... I'm looking for comfort ride. Thought others could use the info now or at some point when they need it.

Please let me know your choice or opinion?

thanks for your responses guys... I haven't made up my mind but NEED to in the next day or two. I am about the comfort all the way but not sure what springs/coils to use around the KYB G2 struts.

What are your thought fellow CL members???

MAVRICK are you trying to lower the car?? or keep it at stock height?? If that's the case go buy a set of OEM springs to go with the KYB struts. If not there are multiple coilover setups in the market for you to choose from.
So far most of the members here are running Megan coilovers and BC racing coilovers. but like i said there's more brands out there. other option is to go with a aftermarket air suspension so can keep the comfort but be about to slammed the car to the ground when you park.

I'm about 6-12 months behind you Mavrick. I've got one corner leaking now and another looks like getting ready. Ride is still passable for now. I'll probably go springs and KYBs when the time comes but interested in what you do and how it turns out for you. Please let us know!

Seeing these posts makes me glad I skipped the ultra package. I think the oem shock/spring set up rides like a dream and looks great with the stock 18s with no hassles.

OEM springs should be good. The factory springs ride very smooth. The Tanabe lowering springs give a slight drop and allow you to maintain a smooth ride.

As far as coilovers go I would recommend a custom set of BC's with the Swift Springs upgrade if you want an affordable setup. If money isn't an issue the HKS Hypermax coilovers ride really and are supposedly the best coilovers you can buy. Tanabe's Sustec coilovers are pretty smooth and are a little bit more expensive than the BC's.

Maverick,

I am in the exact same position in terms of needing to change out the air suspension. I have three failing struts, and will be undergoing this process shortly. All feedback is appreciated and I will post my experience as well.

Having been quoted nearly $8k for air suspension repair, I will be very interested to see how I like the steel/oil strut combo as compared to the factory air.

My current plan includes the Tanabe springs and KYB G2's...
