Hello CL
I made the leap of faith with this one 04 LS430 with 177,000 miles on her good service history except no TB/WP done took it to Lexus to get inspection and got 4300.00 bill
Trimming belt water pump 1700.00
Wheele baring 850.00
Motor mounts can't remember anyway car runs great took it on a 400 mile trip to NC to see if she still had it it was the nicest ride I had in a long time
Thanks for your help to get me to this point time to save some money and let the Mods begin

Ouch... pretty steep bill from our Lexus maintenance folks... but at least it's done and you know it's done right... it is amazing how well they run, no matter how many miles. Hope you enjoy it for a long time and it serves you well... welcome to the LS Club...

I was not quite sure from your post whether you just got an estimate or actually had the work done.
If it was not done, the Timing Belt is critical. It should be done at 90K intervals, although it is very robust and can be delayed a bit, especially if you put on high mileage each year (so elapsed time is around 7 years).
Since it has in interference engine, the pistons run into the valves if the belt breaks, causing large amounts of heartburn and noticeable bad effect on the checking account:-)

Now, call a local Toyota dealer and have them quote you for the same work.
