LS 430 Fuel tank pressure
Dear CL
2004 LS430 UL pck the car running normal, have no error codes but when I release the fuel tank cap massive air pressure come out of the tank even sometimes fuel will come out.
I have changed the following without any improvement.
1- Fuel cap
2- Fuel inlet pipe
3- Canister
4- Fuel pump
5- Fuel filter
6- All the pressure sensors.
7- Inspected also by the dealer but no luck
Also we checked all the fuel lines it seems to be okay.
What else I need to do……. I need your help please.
thnx

You might be letting your gas level get too low before you fill up, it's always a good idea to not run it all the way to empty anyways, you can damage modern fuel pumps that way. I've noticed when I'm really low, I hear a big "whoosh" when I open my fuel cap.
Or you may be "topping" it off and over filling it, and fuel is going into the charcoal canister that bleeds off vapors from the gas tank. You should always stop filling your tank the first time the pump clicks off. I cringe when I see people filling up and keep trying to fill the tank higher and higher and keep "clicking" the fuel shut off.

If it's a little low on fuel and it's a warm day the expanded fuel can build up pressure.
I would release the cap slowly, don't get too low on fuel before refilling and as BradTank says, don't top off - ever.
It sounds normal. I wouldn't worry.

Great bothers, i think it’s not normal but what 2 do, the problem is when there are pressure unburned gas smell comes inside the car which is very bad.
I greed with you that we don’t have to top off the gas it’s not recommended
Many thanks
