Hows the quality and performance of Ultra products? I looked into buying their stuff from a while back but never bit the bullet and bought any of it.

To be honest, I did already have some trd sway bars on my GS and Ultra Racing are very similar to them.

The car is more responsive and the car is turning flat. It gives a sporty comportment.

I received Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway and have installed it, I am very impressed with how my 2002 LS430 handles now...well worth the cost.

Sway bars can really improve the side to side motion of a vehicle and help in cornering. Makes the car feel more planted. The Lexus sports bar and bushings do make a noticeable difference but not much. I'm sure the larger Ultra Racing is more firm.

If you make the rear sway bar too big in relation to the front, it can make the car "oversteer", where you make a slight turn and the car turn way too sharp. It can lead to "squirrely" handling.

The manufacturers usually want to build in a certain amount of understeer because it tends to be safer for most drivers, with an oversteer you can make such a sharp turn that the tires lose traction and the driver can't regain control.

If you want to go really big on sway bars, you need to upgrade both the front and rear.

A small upgrade to the rear sway bar is a great way to make your car feel more "tossable" and it has almost zero ride penalty. When I buy a car, I usually seek out an upgrade for the rear sway. Everytime I've done it, I've been really happy with the results.
