I wouldnt be too worried about it when they are that close in size. In fact tires of the same size 225/35/20 for example from different manufacturers will measure differently as they hold different tolerances and such. On my Lightning I had 275/45/18 from Goodyear on fronts and Kumho on the rear, when I measured overall diameter they were different.

I eventually will probably step lip them up to a 20” when im ready to do full on body work and a repaint when i order my kit, but for right now i just wanted as aggressive a setup as i could fit without doing the serious body work. Plus living in iowa my resources for doing the kind of bodywork required for cutting/shaving fenders is limited. Nobody around here understands what im trying to do basically, lol! im not sure the overall diameter, but i was planning on running a 245/30/19 in the front and a 265/30/19 in the back. The OP is running a 35 series, with 225/255 so i wanted to try to avoid a big stretch by going with a shorter sidewall. I ran 245/35/19 on my 9.5” wide +25 squared set up on my AWD 3GS with just a rear fender roll, and thats about as big of a stretch as i want to go if possible... Im also planning on running fully adjustable control arms, and 1.5° or 2° Negative camber. This car isnt my daily, more of my toy.

Im in week 2 of the 12-18 week wait for my Ordens to be built and shipped😩 the wait suuuuuucks!
yeah that could be true if you have an overall smaller diameter to help the camber set in at the right time but if you are using all the arms back there you wont have a problem because you can get more camber out of it but on stock arms you cant. Looking forward to seeing your wheels they are on of my favorites besides my Work wheels I am running now

Well, theyre FINALLY here! 16 weeks later... now ill probably just wait til spring to put them on since crappy weather is fast approaching the midwest... fronts on the left, rears on the right. They are (F) 19x9.5 +26 standard disc and (R) 19x10.5 +25 Low disc. Not quite as much lip as i wanted, but ill eventually rebuild them and step them up to a 20”

Hey folks, I’ve been searching here and I’m trying to figure out what mods if any are needed to fit the BMW 7 series Style 95 Borbet wheels? I have stock suspension and brakes. I know that I will need to have the wheels re-drilled to 5x114.3 lug pattern, but do I need to change the hub bore size? Will I need to roll or cut my rear fenders? My plan is to eventually go with some BC Racing Coilovers and drop it to a one finger gap all around because it’s my DD.

I know this has been done before but not sure what needs to be done, but I have seen these wheels on a few different LS

This set is probably ok without any modification?

Front 8,5x19 ET35 with 225/35/19 tire
Rear 9,5x19 ET37 with 245/35/19 tire

Hey guys will a set of 19 x 8 +43 fronts and 19 x 9 +35 rears on a mild drop from stock to maintain driveability be too conservative or sunken? What size tires and or spacers would I need for a flush look? TIA.

Hey guys,

I have a 2002 LS430 UL with a stock suspension and was looking to get a set of 19” wheels for the car this summer. I don’t know a whole lot about wheel dimensions and sizing. This thread has been helpful but it’s also got me wondering what exact dimensions do I need to look for to avoid body work/rubbing and ensure that I’ll be able to clear my brake calipers? Maybe it doesn’t exist but I thought I’d ask specificallly and see what kind of feedback those who are smarter have to offer. Thanks!

There's a lot of differences when it comes to wheels in terms of what faces clear (A-Disk, O-Disk, etc if it's a 3pc wheel), what offset, etc. How much are you looking to spend on a set?

I don't want to spend more than $800 on a set of 4 if I can help it. Which I know makes my options list considerably less. As far as offset I don't really even know?

Best bet then would be a site like TireRack or Discount Tire that will be able to narrow down your selections based off of your vehicle, and will have a rendered image of the car with the wheels on it so you get an idea of what they would / could look like.
