Power/Normal/Snow mode

Is it ok to toggle between the power, normal and snow modes while driving or does the car need to be stopped?

So far, I have tried the power ECT mode and I noticed that acceleration seem quicker in power mode compared to normal mode.

Yup no need to stop the car, from what I can gather all it does is change shift patterns. Power will downshift more eagerly and hold the gear longer. Snow starts you off in 2nd iirc.

If you want max accel, also turn off the trac control.:) Idk how much of a diff it actually makes but a sales rep told me the car will send max power to the wheels

Snow Mode forces the transmission to start off in 2nd gear to reduce rear wheel slip.

Power Mode delays the transmission's shift points a little longer. It also will kick down into a lower gear quicker.

Normal Mode is just that. Normal.

That is simplifying the meaning of it TOO much...

In addition to starting in the 2nd gear, the snow mode appears to delay the throttle response quite a bit. This is presumably to keep the rear wheels from slipping in the first place if you're careless with the gas pedal.

Regardless, I've found the normal setting to be the by far the best option for slippery conditions. The is car just nice and predictable in normal mode. Snow mode just makes the accelerator feel like it's one of those steam ship throttles - one that'll only react after the boiler room has acknowledged, understood and begun executing your request :)
