Massachusetts Lexus service at Independent shop?
Hello all,
So I just hit my 59K mile on the LS today... That lovely "maintenance required" light came on reminding me that the costly 60K service needs to be done. I have searched and read a slew of postings with regard to which services to have and how much. However, almost all are from 2008-2009... Has anyone done the 60K service lately and how about any new data on recommended maintenance?
I am a DIY'er but I'm trying to decide on the Drive belt (not Timing belt), Rear Diff fluid. I figure its been 8 years and while ALL the recommended & suggested maintenance has been done at Lexus of Naples FL and it only has 59K, 8 years is bound to have taken its toll on a number of things.
So now I ask you, my fellow LS lovers, what have you heard, done, and/or recommend as if it were you OWN car???
Much appreciated!!!! ~ Scott

Hi Scott,
If you don't mind driving to NH, then Jeff at Jeff's Lex-Toy is the place to go.
Here is a link to their webpage: http://www.jeffslextoy.com/
Good luck,
Tom

My '04 has 80k and all I've done thus far is timing belt (age) and oil changes. I will do a tyranny drain and fill come 100k, but rear diff I don't plan on doing until 100k also.

Hi Tom,
I really appreciate the post!! It's nice to have a Mass/New England Lexus community. I checked out the website and they have a great training record. It would be a 1:20 ride but if planned and would be significantly less cost I would be willing.
Would you happen to know where I could get options of what to do with my Factory Chrome rims that are now peeling?? I also have my never used alloy 17 spare I could use if I could find 3 others
Thanks again Tom!
