Default Youzealand SS Pro Kit Install Question

Hey guys, I installed the Youzealand SS pro kit in the front of my car, and the dust covers are rubbing on the rotor after the wheel is installed.

I read in search that most of you guys cut the dust shield to make clearance.....

1) What did you use to cut? I have a sawzaw, wheel cutter, and can buy some tin cutters or anything else for a good clean cut. Im thinking my wheel cutter via compressed air would be the cleanest line?

2) How much did you cut? I can tell somewhat where it is rubbing, but would it be easier to just cut straight across for a uniform look? I was thinking about cutting right where the bottom of the control arms meet the cover

Thanks for the help!

Usually you can just bend the dust shield to allow clearance. If you have to cut, then tin snips will work.

I must be doing something wrong...i bent it a little, but still hear crazy scraping when i rotate the wheel.

I read somewhere here that others cut....so i presumed cutting would be necessary

Check the bottom of the ball joint to see if the lower bolts are touching your wheel.

No, we are good there....these are 19s.

The dust cover rests on the lower ball joint...so when the wheel gets bolted on, the cover has no where to go besides Into the rotor, causing the scrape noise

Same thing is happening to mine. Glad it's not only me, I checked it out the other day and going to cut it flat. Sound is sooo annoying.

Since you're cutting the dust shield, might as well install a Futura Design BBK while you're at it.

So here's what I did, just took a notch out of the bottom of the dust shield, no more metal/metal sounds while turning...
