Default Newest Pick Up 05 Lexus LS430 what yall think?

Just picked up this 05 LS430 last month. Dealer asking $24,000 got them down to around $19,000. It has ML audio and it is not a UL, or a sport. 1 owner no accident everything service at a Lexus dealer.

My to do list

Install my JL audio 3 10" W7 with rockford fosgate t2500 amp

Tint windows 20%

Want to upgrade the touchscreen navigation. Any one know if I can just buy a deck and keep the stock navigation?

replace DRL with LED and replace fog lights with LED

Work on suspension then think about rims

Is there anything I am missing. Any input would be helpful

Ride looks great and congrats.

I have the same combo and year except sport and love the car. Right now on a 2k mile trip with wifey and loads of luggage and get great mileage even over mountain passes etc.

How many miles on your clock and let us know how you do with the audio,

Congrats it looks like a clean car, love that color!

For the info you wanted: adding an aftermarket radio while keeping you factory nav

For adding double din:
http://www.beatsonicusa.com/stereo/s...c-mva-24l.html
For adding a single din i believe you can remove you cd changer and tap into wires from there, but i am not so sure about that...

Good luck with your list

Nice car. I know nothing about audio but have seen a nav install for non Nav unit not new head for existing Nav. Welcome to CL.

Welcome - good looking LS. Great deal $19k is basically wholesale on an 05. Replace audio and Nav would be a great idea as the Nav is pretty antiquated on these models. Please post up the results with pics and tips when you are done. Anyone keeping these cars as daily drivers for a few years would likely be interested in any tips and tricks and lessons learned on updating audio and Nav.

Now that we see the car has 82,000 miles+ on it, this deal doesn't look so great after all. This standard LS(no UL/Sport) was way overpriced to begin with at $24,000. But this guy comes away thinking he got a smoking deal at $19,XXX because the dealer inflated the original price knowing buyers are always looking to negotiate. So when a buyer negotiates lets say 5K off the original price and the dealer is willing to accept, that let's you know that the car should have originally priced around there all along.

A smoking deal is if the car was priced where it should have been retail (around $19,000-$20,000) and this guy would have been able to get it from them for $17,000 - $18,000.

No matter if you got a deal or not. As long as you are happy with the automobile.
Beautiful color and looks very clean.
Congrats!

I say for not having any accidents what's so ever and all service done at a Lexus dealership. Has all the options as the UL minus the reclining rear seats. I think I came out on top compared to other dealers around town asking 21-26k for a ugly color way with higher miles.

I think you did fine on price & color. However, you have the Modern Luxury package which is missing many items compared to the UL:

- Air suspension
- Rear A/C & filtration
- Cooled rear seats
- Rear chill box
- Rear side shades
- Upgraded leather (semi-aniline black)
- Extra leather trim on dash, center console, etc.
- Upgraded wood trim
- Upgraded headliner
- Laminated side glass
- Power door closers
- Headlamp washers.

I bought a Custom Luxury because I wanted some of these items but not the air suspension and back seat amenities.

I predict you will enjoy your car and people won't believe it is almost 8 years old.
