Default No more tilt

The tilt function on the steering column of my 2002 LS430 stopped working. I know about the "Blue Washer" repair procedure for a LS400, and need to know if this same procedure will work on the LS430? If not, how do you do it?

I haven't opened the column clamshell on my LS430, but it looks the same from the outside, so I would think that it would work.
If you turn the ignition to ACC and toggle the tilt button, you should hear the tilt motor turning. If you do, then I would think it would work. If you hear nothing then the washer probably won't fix it.
I do not do my own maintenance but I did this on my LS400 about 4 years ago. Very easy and no further problems.
