2004 UL with radar, grey, black interior, 180k miles, cpo 1 owner, lexus and toyota serviced, from dealer, searched for about 6 months (very few of these in Spain and Europe in general) , found it searching on car selling sites, Barcelona - Spain, brought the price down from 8000€(9150$) to 6100€(6985$), awesome machine.

Got a 2004 1 owner black on black with nav, 168k for 5000. Had a broken rear sunshade and unknown timing belt history so I used that to negotiate it down from 6995. Other then that EVERYTHING still works. One of the best car purchases Ive made, Love this thing. Hate the front end vibrations but working to fix that, and I really wish I had some factory 18's instead of the 17's.

Price Pd. 9500
UL w/ PCS
106 K miles
1 owner
Perfect service records
Mercury Metallic / Ercu
Am now tapping my foot waiting for the truck. I may call today and Cxl. the shipping and drive her home instead. Will save a little money esp. since I have tons of miles to pay for the flight. I'm gonna jump over to Google maps and consider a road trip.

Well it's a 2500 mile drive, so 3 long days behind the wheel. and the weather is not looking real friendly either.
Let's see, SWA will be about 40 K points for the flight. So the numbers kind of work. I'm @ about 1,200.00 to have my 05 trucked here. I figure right at 100 gallons of fuel, S/B a bit less than that. Gas is about a dollar a gallon cheaper once you get off the West coast. Still I figured 3 bucks a gallon.
Figure 300 for motel
Another 300 fuel
I gotta eat anyway so I don't count food. If I had to pay for the flight it would be a wash, I can fly on frequent flier miles so that does not dent the budget.
So my out of pocket is about one half what shipping would be. That means my driving time is about 200 bucks a day. Yes I could sell the miles for about 250 bucks. So worth it?
I'm thinkin no, primarily due to the weather question. It could be way longer than 3 days and that is an issue. I have to be on another plane on the 7th and will be gone for the week. Decisions, decisions. I'll likely ship it.

Wow, nice price! Too many miles for me, and not enough options.
Am glad I learned of the difference between laser and radar cruise control here. My 2010 Prius has both DRCC and lane keeping. I would get really annoyed if my adaptive cruise did not work in the rain, cuz I live about 40 miles N of PDX and it is always raining.
I figure I won't miss the lane keeping much given the longer wheelbase and overall length of the LS. The Prius needs that feature, it's rather "busy" on the freeway W/O it.
I'm really pleased that mine has PCS and radar cruise. The cruise should be about as reliable as the Prius. Only had one real dangerous screw up from it over the years. Running with it on in the snow caused it to stop seeing the car in front of me and I had to tap the brakes to turn it off. I stopped shrtly after and cleaned the snow and ice off and it was fine after that.

We folks here that are in the know will keep the secret to ourselves.
It is amazing to me how hard it is to change what is ingrained in people. One of those is that a car is done at 100,000 miles. Like all these "urban legends" it has some basis in fact. Up until the 80's most American cars were "done" at 100 K. So what happened? Japan happened! American manufacturer's had to up their game to survive. Lots more reasons, but that's a big one.
I've owned a lot of Toyota products over the years. Every one without exception was literally as new with 100 K on the odometer. It might not feel quite as tight as it did new, but is otherwise a new car. I really wish I had my first new Toyota back, 1975 Celica GT. They go for nice money, Japanese classic. I put 160 K on that one, was running great when i sold it. My 2010 Prius has 326 K, it has had the gas engine replaced due to oil consumption. DO stay away from 2010 Prius. They all drink oil when the miles pile up. It's an example of why we should avoid the first model year of a redesign. I've been lucky with my 4runner. It too is first model year of new generation. Other than a relay for the AC it's been pretty flawless and is amazing off road.
I do like my Toyota's. I may have my Japan friend get me the Celsior badges for my LS, just for fun.
