I just opened a similar thread

Like AJT123 stated, S class and 7 series (A8 is not that bad I guess) are having more problems. I was also browsing for a S class and 7 series of the same year (yea, shame on me) but the prices are suspiciously -way- lower than the LS. That can't be a good sign.

Plus I don't trust MB and I am a little sceptical about BMW.

OT: is there really nothing to worry about? There must be something? How about the cool box in the back seat? Or the suspension? Anything else I should be looking for?

The cool box in the back seat is nothing put a plus. It is a result of the rear seating area having an independent A/C system, similar to those found in large volume vehicles such as SUVs and Vans. The A/C compressor deliver freon to the rear where it is expanded when cools air by a heat exchanger with air that is blown out of vents above the rear doors. It has its' own temp control from the rear arm rest. In addition there is a UV filter which filters and removes odor from that system. Some of the air is diverted into the cool box, providing a mini refrigerator.

Nothing but goodness here all around.

That was the first used car I ever bought in my life. Every time I get in the car now, it's like getting in a new car. Talk about an amazing car.
Nice job on the CPO purchase!
