LEX ES300

Hi Guys,

Finally, after many years, I'm pleased to say that I am now the proud owner of a Black 2004 LS430! (Before this I had an ES300 and have been on the CL website for many years.)

I see on the forums that heaps of members have done LED bulbs on the interior of their LS430's but I'd like to put some superbright amber LED bulbs especially in the turn signals for both front and rear and I'd also like to put some super white LED bulbs in the trunk lid for the number plates and some for the back up/reversing lights. I WANT THE BEST & BRIGHTEST!!

I have an Australian Spec LS430 and I have looked at the lamp housings and I see their isn't much room for longer bulbs at all!! (I have various sizes of the standard wedge incadecent bulbs at the moment)

So, has anyone done the LED upgrades, and what bulbs are people using?

I got mine from iJDMtoy. He is a Vendor on here and the LED SMD T-10 Bulbs worked perfect!

They are a bit pricey but they are pretty bright!

Sorry, I am quite new to the LS430. It was my understanding that the tail lights were LEDs as shipped from the factory. Perhaps it is brake lights only?

Only brake lights are LED.

I changed the turn signals and the tag lights myself. Purchased from Vleds anne they look good. The turn signals can be a lil brighter and I'm looking for an alternative. All the rest of the bulbs look great. I even changed the interior lighting to leds also.

I searched the internet a lot to find the best/brightest LED bulbs and most people seem to be in favour of the vleds.

For the number plate/tag lights on the trunk I think I am going to buy the ones that SILKKY recommended.

I still cant find any good ones for the front and rear turn signals tho. I bought some amber cree bulbs on line that were bright at night and they just fitted in the lamps, but the light from the bulb didn't fill the lens enough to be seen from a side angle. (they had a cree projector led, and 6 smaller side firing SMD leds)

Slvr surfr - can you tell me exactly which ones you bought from vleds for the turn signals? I have seen some high power ones on there but I'm worried that the bulbs will be too long to fit in the light assembly.

I also got most of my leds from v-leds(50/50 SMD).But for the briightest leds I would say cree leds.Problem is that cree works best aiming forward because they need a heatsink..So, that means you will need to go custom for super bright...you can get help with that at hidplanet.com
