LED brake light not working?
Hello, I just got my '01 LS430 about a week ago. It has the led tails on it (oem I believe) and when I brake the "tail lamp out" warning comes up on the dash. At first I thought it was just because this often happens when using led tails, however last night I noticed that while all the tail lights are on when turned on, when the brake pedal is depressed the inner passenger-side tail (the one that is on the trunk) does not illuminate.
This is the first time I've had these types of tails on any of my cars so I don't know how to remedy the problem.
Do I have to replace the whole tail light? Should I switch back to non-led to avoid headaches?
Thanks!

If it's 01 it's not OEM led as starting in 04 the ls had led taillights. You have replacement and the resistor to prevent the low draw either is defective or never installed.

Its probly the resistors or a bad taillight. Bad part is you have to replace whole set with those cause they don't sell em saperately. I'm on my 3rd set one was replaced under warranty.

Actually if the resistors in unit are bad, you can big one and link in series with the wire and of will turn off the warning too... the reason.that tjw warning goes off OS that led have very little draw, so even with it working the system thinks it's blown out. So just install a 10ohm resistor I believe it is on the bad side and you'll be good...
