so i hit the mother ship of potholes Friday night going 66E towards DC right at the entrance to 495N. it made my already lowered car's coilover smack the top of the thing so hard i thought the coilover or wheel would have been damaged. I didn't notice any issues at all the next 1 hour of driving down the highway, but when i got home i noticed my driver side (the side that hit the hole) headlight was now aimed sky high. i went out and attempted to lower it in the day time yesterday but didn't get to check it out at night time yet. I sure hope this didn't do any other damage or mess with the auto leveling mechanism at all.

has this ever happened to anyone else???

I drive that route everyday.....and from what I remember im significantly lower and have never had a problem. My control arms and shock tower always chatter and bang and headlights still aim properly. Take a look at your headlight level sensors on your control arms, they may have moved from the impact.
