I have a 2002 LS430. I turned the navigation screen off and the clock and temperature LCD above the navigation screen wont come back on. I pressed the map button and the navigation screen came back on but nothing on the the clock/temp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Welcome! Did you also turn off the HVAC system? Hit the Auto button for the AC and see if the display comes back. I assume you tried turning the car off and then back on, yes? You may need to disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset everything and see if it comes back.

 

same problem with my 2003, took i t to lexus, thought it was the dimmer unit, but the problem came back, took it back again, said it was loose wire, picked it up the same the same night, it did the same. i ended up buying a used nav of ebay, they fitted it for free since they had charged me for all the other stuff that did not work.

 

Yes, i did try all of the above. Seems Strange. I only shut the screen off and then it didnt come back on with the map screen. thanks for the suggestions though.
