Lexus tech gives the 430 a big thumbs-up
So I had my LS in for maintenance at the dealer and ended up chatting with the mechanic (not the service advisor, the actual tech), a real nice guy. We talked a lot about the 3UZ-FE and the overall quality of the 430. He was very appreciative of my car and said quite directly that, based on his experience working on all of them, if he could have any model or year Lexus to choose from it'd be an LS 430 for sure.

I bet it was nice to hear it from a Lexus tech. Thanks for the update.

One of the service advisors was absolutely drooling over my 04 430. He went as far as telling me to save my future $$ by not bothering with a 460 (which is good cause I'm feeling the S550 and 750i a lot more from the current gen....). Never have I ever seen a service advisor get so excited about a car, shows how great the 430 still is!

And, it's nice to take clients on rides and have them sing nothing but praises for this car. Also, being able to work on it when something goes wrong is quite nice....unlike some Benz's. (I will whine about the damn sub though, haha)

I'd put the LS400 in contention for that title too, especially the last gen, but since the last one was made 11 years ago it's not exactly easy to find a clean low-miles example; it's getting hard enough with the 430!

This is weird to see this thread as my wife came back from the dealer after having them correct a mirror problem on the '03 we just purchased. The service writers fawned over the LS430 as well. Its a great car. Have you guys/girls been driven while in the back seat?? I had two close friends gush over how nice it was back there. Then, I saw for myself.
Now I want a chauffeur!

I got a 2003.
I went to drop the kids off at nana and papas house , and they saw the car and asked " when did you guys buy a new car". I played it for a while until they asked for a ride. Once they got in the car, they saw a small chip on the windsheild, which was filled/repaired and made the comment that it should not have it for a new car. I had them look at the odometer, 101,000 miles.
Its that clean
