the wet sand is a very important step. high polish look will not be possible if this step is forgot/skipped. the final buffing is important too. also like to add, the more time you spend on each step the greater the outcome. i spent an hour on step one to ensure that all the yellowing was completly gone, and also that the headlight was sanded smooth and frosted in color. the next step i took maybe 45 mins on. take time here as well, as this is what removes a vast majority of the coarse sanding marks. wet sand maybe 20-30 mins. very important to keep pad wet as well as lens. if dry you can start to burn. buffing 5-10. buffing is done visually for the most part. once you see the compund is gone your done. look closely as it can look dull in some places. this is where the compound hasnt been buff out completly. if left on to dry, there will be a dull area. also liek to add that when sanding in steps 1 and 2, make sure not to sand near the very edge of the lens with the drill as this causes the plastic to come off as tiny strings which are hell to sand back out. i did the majority with the drill and the edges by hand by just folding one of the pads in half.
