Default Broken Door cable?

Hey all,

So my front door doesn't open when you pull the lever. Ended up taking the door apart and the cable that attaches to the lever snapped in half.

Any chance anyone know the part number for it or how to fix this? Its the cable(6-7 strands of wire) with the ball attached to the end of it with the other end going into the door, Im guessing to the lock?

Do I replace the entire cable or do I have to replace the lock on the door?

I had the same problem with the passenger door on my 2002 SC430 I used a modified a Dorman door latch cable P/N: 924-362. I made a video of the whole procedure. It's rather lengthy because I did it in real time and I made a few mistakes along the way. But in the end it worked. You can see my video here:
