my friend ordered 5k (GS) and i ordered 6k (LS) and when we compared mine were almost more white (like a crystal white) but with a light hint of an icy blue, sorta like a bmw (in my opinion). the factory headlights are closer to 5k and if you get 6k you will notice how non pure white the stock headlights (HID's) truely are. i think the 6k looks cleaner in the fogs than 5k but 5k is closest to stock hid's.

in my opinion the 5k looks like older tech and the 6k looks like newer tech.
+1 on the color temp match. 5k gives off pure white, 6k gives off white with a tinge of blue. I believe the most lumen is at 5k and the level of visible light goes down as the temp goes up.

Would running 9005 LED's with a harness give the output that we are looking for? One of CL's vendors has this but i'm a bit confused what I would need.

I don't think these are dual LED's so I would lose my highbeam capabilty. Can someone fill in the blanks for me?

i have the modules ^ ^ ^ (in the first link) with some 9005 6k (look more like 7k) bulbs from them too. this enables your drl to be on full blast if you will all the time. in our cars stock the drl is only on half power (why it looks so dull in the first place) then when you flick on your brights they go to full power. so the modules make it full power all the time which look bright but don't put out much usable light at all.

so you will loose the light output from the brights/highbeams, but you can still use them and flash them and what not. this will make them look like bad *** drl's but not very functional light output.

Thanks for the insight sojah. I don't mind losing the high beam ability. So the bulbs you got from this vendor is this below?

BTW airtime great job on the 3000k fogs. I just ordered mine. Looking forward to installing them. I currently have LED 4300k fogs and honestly they look like crap (colour doesn`t match and light ouput is way to dim)

Yup those r the bulbs I have, just make sure to get a pair of the modules. They look awesome but don't put out any usable light, similar to all the new led lights on new model cars.

Its incredible how a 35w lights up so bright. They also do sell a 55w HID kit which would be insanely bright.
So i m in process of gettin 3000K H3 for my fog lights too and so i have heard that they sell slim and non-slim ballast HIDs. beside the size is there any other differences? i think i will get the non-slim (regular) one for around 65$$$. And where did u put the ballast ..had to drill holes i assume?

I had imaging it may glare but not really. In the back of the fog lights, there is a wheel for adjusting the aim if needed.

Non slim and slim works the same. It seems though the slim has a sealed plastic housing that may prevent rust vs the full size metal. No need to drill hole as you can zip tie it to a number of things behind the bumper area.
