Default Hit a big bird

It looks like that damage was only the front "L" emblem on the front grill. Its been broken off. Looking at it I can see two slots in the remaining hole.

Does anyone know if the emblem can be replaced or am I looking at a whole new grill assembly?

I suggest you look at sewellparts.com to get an answer to your question. There are differences in the year of the model.

Damage caused by vandalism or hitting an animal is almost always covered under comprehensive coverage on which most people carry a zero on minimal deductible. I haven't found comp claims to increase my insurance rates and I've had a lot of "practice" ... had a bunch of Mercedes hood ornaments stolen and replaced under comp coverage during the 1980's and my rates never went up.

Inspect the grille and bumper cover carefully (or have a trusted body shop do it) as these plastic grilles get small cracks and bumper covers have future paint problems due to these types of strikes.

I've heard of people hitting a deer but never a bird. My advice would be to stop flying in your LS.

^^Hilarious^^

You could just get an ebay grill. Some have the straight billet with the logo and some without...

Philly -- do you have a link? I didn't see one with a logo spot. Otherwise seems a good choice. Wouldn't mine having a billet grill.

Yeah, it went flying off your windshield... I'm sure it didn't survive long afterwards...

Was it getting close to thanksgiving? The poor turkey was running from the massacre only to get owned by a car lol.

You hit Big Bird? I avoid driving on Sesame Street - too many crazy animals there.
