Default Removed Door Panel to Replace Speaker - Now Auto Door Closer Does Not Work

Hello fellow owners. My latest issue came about last night. I had a blown door speaker on my 01 UL model. I removed the passenger panel, but did not disconnect any wiring from the panel itself. I just had my wife hold the panel in mid air still connected to all wiring while I quickly replaced the speaker, and then I put the door panel back on.

After doing that, I noticed that the auto door closer on that door is not working at all. It doesn’t even make a noise and the mechanism doesn’t move at all. I'm going to remove the panel again today and check for any obvious signs, but I'm already concerned because I know I didn’t damage any cabling, wires, etc. when replacing the speaker. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this symptom, or what to check exactly to verify the parts are working?

As always, I appreciate any feedback. Happy Halloween.

while you have it off, wiggle wires with the door closed enough to ativate the auto close system.see if it is a loose wire or broken wire.good luck.

Well, I can't explain what the fix was, but my auto door closer started working again out off the blue. I did not remove the panel or do anything at all. I simply closed the door the other day, and its now working. Hope it stay that way!
