430 Engine Miss
Here's the deal. Cleaned the throttle body on my lunch break and I have driven 100 miles so far without any engine miss or hesitation. My diagnoses is to clean your throttle body with STP throttle body cleaner, or anything comparable.
Should be 5 bucks a can. Remember to clean on both sides the disc and inner housing where there disc closes. It's best if you remove the throttle body and only disconnect the sockets. There are hoses connected to it also, but I left them connected. Put a towel over the intake hole so you don't spray anything into the engine.
Hope this helps

Must be a temporary fix, or I just jinxed myself. 700 miles after that cleaning, the hesitation came back. Put the factory airbox on the car, disconnected the battery ... no different.
Taking it to Lexus to figure out what's up.

Bringing this back. I just spent 2 Grand at the dealer trying to get this thing resolved. They replaced my Spark Plugs, Valve Cover Gaskets, Timing Belt and water pump, cleaned the intake system, and some other did some other small things (Which were unrelated).
The car ran fine for 2 days and the hesitation came back. I'm not sure where I should go with this. I've noticed that if I put the car in first gear and give it the same amount of gas as I would in Drive (Brings the Tach to 4,000K and 30MPH) then it hesitates big time. It almost feels as if the Throttle Body is closing abruptly. Could it be a bad TPS? As mentioned before, the car runs solid after I clean the Throttle Body. It shouldn't be ignition related or fuel related because the car is at 4,000 RPM.
Hope someone chimes in on this, because it gets annoying when you can't set the cruise control without the engine missing several times in a row. It's either 90mph or nothing to miss the hesitation.
