Delivery Update
It took about 4 weeks for me to recieve my title here in Tx so I suspect that state governments are having trouble due to the financial meltdown. I wonder how long it's taking in Ca or Fl.
happy to hear the LS is on its way.
Too bad no transporter uses any type of car covers. And the only maker that I see cover their cars is Audi

Further update:
- Transport company says delivery is delayed from Thursday to Sunday due to weather.
- Dealer continues to say that repeated visits to the State of Washington DMV office have not succeeded because the office keeps running out of titles. Uh, huh. They said they hope to have a title to send me early next week. Well, due to the Presidents Day holiday, we know that won't be until later next week. Since that will be more than 15 days after the sale date, the State of Michigan may charge me a fine due to the delay. (I doubt they will believe a shaggy dog story about Washington running out of titles.) I told the dealer I need a title by this weekend.
(Update - I called the license / title office and the shaggy dog story is true. They ran out of titles. The new titles were a different format. They had to change the programming of the printers, and that ran into problems.)

The carrier wouldn't come into our sub, so I picked her up at the main road. She needs some TLC at the bodyshop, but appears to run and drive OK. The second master key is missing. I don't have a title yet, so she's a garage queen for now.
nice find, congrats!
i'm still waiting for my deal to close. they won't budge on $400 and they want to charge me doc fees/taxes but i'm thinking in my head how are you going to charge me tax/doc fees when I don't live in the state + i'll be doing the registration in MA??

The dealer charged me $150 for doc fees. I probably could have negotiated it lower. That included shipping the docs to the local notary, the notary service, shipping docs back to dealer, shipping docs to title agent, title agent getting "instant" title, shipping docs back to dealer, then shipping docs to me.
