Default MRR's in HRE's out! new rims and some pics...

Been busy working on my bike and the Impala but those HRE's were driving me nuts!

Got a deal on these HR2's used and abused, they were painted and tires were chunky as hell.

Got some paint remover, pressure cleaner, sand paper and a whole lot of patience and here we are.

Wrapped them around some 225-35 and 245-35 dada!
The wheels are 19x8.5 and 9.5 unknown offset. Im looking to drop more and put a 5mm spacer in the front and rear when I get to cambering the rear some more.

For now its what I got, yeah puctures sucks get some better ones on the weekend.

Let me know what you guys think.....

MRR before...

The whip with old HRE's ....hey they were cheap... lol

Now with the MRR's

Here ya go....

Yeah, I sanded them down for now. Later on when I have some more time I'm going to scuff them up for a machine look.....Well see, time is precious now between a college degree, full time work, running a body shop on the side, 4 projects and a daily driver its crazy ...and yeah a very understanding wife.

Looks good. Reminds me of the old Hot Wheel toy car rims with the red line around the tires.

At first the top picture didn't even look real because the wheels were so bad. I thought you had literally gotten on PAINT and colored them. Sad.

I love the way the look on the LS430 though after you sanded them.

The paint was horrible and completly chipped. Someone though it was a good idead to put SILICONE to seal a bent band on a used tire and silicone around the valve stem to keep air in.

I have yet to see a nice set of wheels like this rigged out the way these were. Oh by the way there were three different brand of tires on the rims and two different sizes in the rear...

If you guys still wondering these were off a 99 LS400 ... makes you wonder who the hell does this type of crap to such a nice car ...
