my 2002 ls 430 trunk does not close just bounces back up...any suggestions how to fix or play with trunk latch... so my trunk looks closed by the latch is not engaged...

my trunk struts need replacement as well...what are the best ones to replace with?

 

i read a while back that if it senses that you left a key in the trunk that it wont lock, not sure if this is for smartkey only or what but yeah just throwing that out there.

 

Try using the key to unlock the latch. Sounds like it might have gotten engaged somehow without catching the trunk.
