OK, changing this thread a little bit to specifically get to the issue I am encountering.

I bought both the lockpick1 and the vaistech SL2VI with the expectation of having both override, and ipod music and video capability on my nav monitor. The installation shop (very reputable place) that I work with couldn't get the video to work. Actually, not only the video, but not even the menu to show on the screen. When they called Vaistech, the Vaistech techie indicated that the Lockpick1 and their units are not compatible. Based on the different posts I have seen on this LS forum alone leads me to believe that this cannot be the case, although there are many remarks where folks do mention issues, but no resolutions.
