I know you have said you had your spacers for 77k miles with no issues.

Are you still running OEM shocks? If you had to do it again, would you have gone Tanabe or Eibach? My last LS had full coilover, and I just don't need that anymore

Yes I am still running OEM "sport" shocks, they are a perfect match to the Tanabe NF210.

I am 100% satisfied with my Tanabe NF210, if I am doing it again, I will be buying the Tanabe NF210 again.

The reason I prefer the Tanabe over the Eibach is because the Tanabe is slightly taller on the rear to compensate the extra weight I have on the rear of my Ultra Luxury. Eibach would make the car lower on the rear for an uneven look.

Seeing you have 2 baby seats on your backseats, I think you want the Tanabe NF210 also.

haha...........internet opinion on suspension. Suspension feel is 100% subjective, a 16 years old guy think a go kart that doesn't have suspension ride too soft, a 80 years old think a 1970 Cadillac with worn out shocks ride too harsh

I absolutely love my NF210/OEM sport shock combo, it actually might be a bit soft if the car is fully loaded with 4 people and luggage. With just me in the car, I feel it is pretty much perfect.

I always think my old OEM air suspension felt too floaty, I do not like that vague feeling. That's why I took them out.

Drive down, I'll give you a ride

Will get a ride in your cAr before order

Mine is floaty and vague now

Want a bit more responsive without it being punishing

I have sports cArs on weekends so don't need to be Mario Andretti with kids

Do you have the sport sways ?

80% of my driving alone
10% me and two young boys in back
10% all four of us

I saw your car in the picture thread, you have the softest of the 3 suspension package, yes it is pretty soft especially you have sports cars.

I think you should like the NF210/OEM sport shock combo, there are stiffer springs available, Tanabe DF210 or RSR, the problem is there are no firmer struts.

Hey BNR34,
would you say that by paring up 15mm in the front and 25mm in the back, does the rear look like it pokes out more than the front?

Or are they pretty much equal?

I was going to go 15mm and 25mm like you, but I'm thinking maybe the front is poking out like the rear, or am I not seeing through the picture.

Thanks, I love your setup.

*btw, which brand did you get?

Pretty much equal.

Mind you there is minor rubbing on stock size tire if you don't roll your fender lip.

No, stock everything.

The spacers just bolt right onto the car and you re-use your stock lug nuts.

BNR34 I really appreciate you following up on this thread and giving feedback years later. I just picked up a base LS430 with 93k and it is white with the OEM 18" rims just like yours (not chrome).

My goal is to do exactly what you've setup here. Here are a few things I'm debating.

New Sport Shocks + Tanabe NF210 vs Bilstein 47-086401

The cost is just about the same but the Bilsteins would give me an extra adjustability.

I called Billstein today and they clarified for me that they designed their CoilOver system for the LS430 for comfort and drivability. Their target was something like a 550i with an Msport package. They say with the factory 18" rims it should drive something like that and with 19" staggered wheels my car would drive more like an M car. (in terms of road feel).

A few questions:

Who made the spacers? I typically use Motorsport Tech
If I don't want to roll my fenders, would a 22mm spacer in the rear prevent that? (stock tire sizes)
How many miles do your shocks have on them? (You went with a fresh set of shocks when you went with this setup back in 09)?

Thanks for your help, I need to get this figured out before the end of the month as the car enters daily driver status.

Nice. I went with Motorsport Tech and had 15mm and 20mm spacers built for my car to be safe. Putting everything in sometime next weekend.
