Gps dvd

Where is the GPS dvd located in a 2004 LS 430? Will version 7.1 work in this player? :

The DVD drive is located in the trunk under a panel towards the right (passenger) side of the floor. One has to remove two bolts to tilt the drive up and then eject the old DVD. Version 7.1 should work if it for same generation of navigation (Gen 4 I think, but am not sure for that year.)

Your 2004 is indeed a Gen4. Newest disk will be v8.1.

Yup, 2004 is Gen. 4 DVD. I have a 2004 and originally version 4.1. Just got an "upgrade" 6.1 and easy as pie. Remove screws as mentioned and pop disc in and the system reads and you're ready to go.

Keep in mind though, if you're going from 4.1 to anything beyond 5.1, you will lose the manual override ability.
