So i have to get them custom fit? Man this guy is selling them and he told me that they should fit without any modifications. There is also a big scratch on one of them i dont know if this will effect anything.

just want to be clear. if you are talking about the whole headlights, no for sure it will not fit. the 01-03 ls430 and 04-06 ls430 headlights are completely different even in shape

if you talk about the projector setup, i still think you need to retrofit them. it's pretty different between the two

And if you are talking about the LS460 headlight assembly then it will NOT fit. You need tons of custom modding to make them fit.

I'd hold on, and pick up a set of LS430 04+ projectors if your looking to retrofit... MUCH better output.

It's possible, and quite an upgrade! Best bet is to buy a second set of headlights and a pair of 04 LS430 projectors.

Do you already have the reflector based HID in your LS430?

I'd assume that either use of LS460 or 430 late model lighting would be quite an undertaking as it's not just a matter of drilling a hole for the projectors in either case. Both 430 Late and 460 feature Adaptive Headlights which move left, right and up, down depending on the car's load and with steering input. The lights are not mounted simply on a bracket but in a actuator gimble that is Lighting ECU controlled.

So, provided you have a complete 004-06 headlight assembly, most of us in Japan would rather just use the 04-06 LS430 lights with complete ECU, and change the fender, hood and bumpers as that's a lot cleaner to convert than "making it fit" which never comes out quite right.

You might be wondering "fender? Hood? that's a lot of work!" Well, hacking the back of a headlight almost always reqiure modifications to the bulkhead and brackets, which is almost as much work on a LS430 as there's not much room as found in a Civic or a 240SX...
Lots of cutting, welding and custom bracketry...to align properly and point the beat right.
(remember? Lexus has built the car to very close tolerance... So even a slightly wider gap in the bumper or fender makes it look bothersome...amazing how human eye can detect this sort of stuff when all the other gaps are almost perfect as on a LS430...)

Also, if stuck on the "Custom fit" projector HID idea for cheaper, one would look to other solutions than from a LS... Growing in popularity is the use of Infiniti M45 LED lights which have 7 LED projectors in a "Gatling-Gun" array...looking way cool...
Or to use generic Nissan or other manufacturer sourced (ie BMW E38 E39) projectors which have simpler mounting and can come apart easier, and rather compact for custom fitment into the 03 LS430 light grid. BMW projectors can be fitted with Halo or Angel Eye too!

Following is a GS300 custom-converted with a (F50 Inifniti M45 Lights)

Ok for the die-hard purists, this may seem way too Rice or Uncool... But I'm just talking in light of what's been done and soemtimes with very neat results that won't detract too much from the LS430's presence or attire... Provided one takes a lot of time and planning as should be done for any custom modifications.

That's a F50 Q45 headlight (not a M45).

My friend did that conversion to his 2nd generation GS. He used to post in her frequently. Hope he doesn't mind me posting this in here.
